And the Oscar goes to...

Πάει κι αυτό!! Απονεμήθηκαν χθες βράδυ τα βραβεία Όσκαρ σε μια από τις πλέον γρήγορες και παλιομοδίτικες τελετής απονομής στην ιστορία της. Ευτυχώς που υπάρχει και το Ολύμπιον και καταφέραμε να τα δούμε ζωντανά, χωρίς να ψάχνουμε stream μέχρι τελευταία στιγμή και να μην φορτώνει κιόλα. Αναλυτικά τα βραβεία και τα highlights θα τα δούμε παρακάτω αφού πρώτα σχολιάσω τρία πράγματα:

1) Το "θρίλερ" της παρεύρεσης του Sasha Baron Cohen στην τελετή απονομής ντυμένο ως Δικτάτορα (publicity stand για την επερχόμενη ταινία του) έληξε καλά για τον Σάσα, άσχημα όμως για τον Ryan Seacrest.

Η με διαφορά καλύτερη στιγμή του κόκκινου χαλιού. Μόνο και μόνο για το βλέμμα του Seacrest δηλαδή. Κρίμα που δεν την έδειξε και στη NOVA για να απολαύσουμε το μεγαλείο ζωντανά.

2) Μιας και πιάσαμε το χαλί, οι δύο καλύτερες εμφανίσεις (ευτυχώς που υπάρχει και η Rooney Mara για να γεμίσει το κενό που δημιουργήθηκε από την μη υποψηφιότητα της Tilda Swinton):

Και οι τρεις χειρότερες:

Δεν αναφέρομαι καν σε Jolie και Bullock γιατί η υπεροχή της πρώτης και οι κακογουστιά της δεύτερης είναι δεδομένες και αυτονόητες.

3) Μεγάλες οι προσδοκίες για την παρουσίαση του Billy Crystal που τελικά αποδείχτηκε κατώτερος αυτών. Χρησιμοποίησε τα τρία κλασσικά τρικς που χρησιμοποιεί σε κάθε τελετή (τι σκέφτονται οι καλεσμένοι, videobombing, χορευτικό νούμερο) αλλά δεν απογείωσε κανένα από αυτά. Δηλαδή οκ, το videobombing κλασσικό, είχε την πλάκα του, το "τι σκέφτονται οι καλεσμένοι" έτσι κι έτσι, αλλά το χορευτικό νούμερο ήταν σκέτη τραγωδία. Όπως είπε και ο @manolis "Χιου Τζάκμαν Γουί Μις Γιου".

Πάμε τώρα στα βραβεία με τη σειρά που δόθηκαν:

Καλύτερα Σκηνικά

Τσαφ μπαμ μπήκαμε στα βραβεία, με τις δύο πρώτες καλλιτεχνικές κατηγορίες (τις οποίες ξεπετάξανε πολύ γρήγορα φέτος). Διπλή νίκη για το Hugo, προβλέψιμη και στις δύο περιπτώσεις (τι σε έκανε να πιστεύεις ότι θα το έπαιρνε φέτος ο Lubezki, εδώ το έχει χάσει και με καλύτερες του δουλειές). Θα ήθελα να δω Χάρι Πότερ να το παίρνει έστω και αναδρομικά αλλά δεν θα τα βάψω και μαύρα.

Καλύτερα Κοστούμια

THE ARTIST

Στο twitter αρχίζει η καταμέτρηση "Artist 1 - Hugo 2". Εγώ πάλι μετράω "Προβλέψιμα 3 - Εκπλήξεις 0". Τα βλέμματα βέβαια έκλεψε το nip slip της JLo, η μόνη δικαιολογία στην ερώτηση "γιατί την καλέσανε;".

Καλύτερo Μακιγιάζ

IRON LADY

Γιατί το "Iron Lady" έχει καλύτερο μακιγιάζ από το Χάρι Πότερ δεν θα μάθουμε ποτέ.

Καλύτερη Ξενόγλωσση Ταινία

A SEPARATION

Ανέβηκε το ξέπλυμα στη σκηνή, η ντροπή της Ακαδημίας, το μέγιστο λάθος της, η Sandra Bullock. Να σημειώσω ότι της κάνανε αδικαιολόγητα πολλά κοντινά καθόλη της διάρκεια της τελετής όταν και καλά συγκινούταν από τον λόγο των νικητών - fake as hell, ούτε αυτό να υποκριθεί δεν ξέρει. Κάκιστα ντυμένη (όσο τριτοδεύτερη είσαι, τόσο τριτοδεύτερα ντύνεσαι) παρουσίασε την Ξενόγλωσση Ταινία και ΕΥΤΥΧΩΣ το πήρε το "A Separation" και δεν μας κάνανε καμιά πλάκα! Χειροκροτάνε στο Ολύμπιον (λες και είχαν δει καμιά άλλη από τις υποψήφιες :P )

Η στιγμή που όλοι περιμέναμε... NOT. Ντάξει, όλα ωραία και καλά, αλλά το standing ovation ΓΙΑΤΙ;;

Δεν ντρέπομαι να πω ότι ζητοκραύγασα! Πρώτη μεγάλη έκπληξη, το βραβείο πήγε ΑΚΡΙΒΩΣ εκεί που έπρεπε.

"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" είσαι ο νικητής της καρδιάς μας. Παρεμπιπτόντως, κάπως έτσι μένει αβράβευτη εφόρου ζωής η οκταλογία του Χάρι Πότερ. Και όπως είπε και ο @riddle_d "Κάπου στην Αγγλία, η Τζόαν Ρόουλινγκ έκλασε στον ύπνο της.".

Ευτυχώς το βραβείο το παρουσίασε η Emma Stone (πρέπει να ήταν και ο Ben Stiller μαζί της αλλά δεν είμαι σίγουρος). Με τον @geor_pap ("Η Emma Stone μόλις έδωσε μάθημα χιούμορ στον Κρις Ροκ, μην πω και στον Κρίσταλ και πέσετε να με φάτε.") και τον @moby_octopad ("Emma Stone για παρουσιάστρια ΛΕΜΕ!") θα ξεκινήσουμε petition να παρουσιάσει αυτή την τελετή του χρόνου.

YES! Κάτι άλλαξε στην Ακαδημία και επέλεξαν να μην τριτώσει την κακή παράδοση των προηγούμενων δύο χρόνων όπου η Καλύτερη Ταινία παίρνει αδικαιολόγητα και το Καλύτερο Σενάριο (ότι και καλά το King's Speech έχει καλύτερο σενάριο από το Inception ή το Hurt Locker - γελάει ο κόσμος - καλύτερο οτιδήποτε από το Inglourious Basterds). Ο Woody πολύ που χέστηκε βέβαια αλλά εμείς οι φαν χεστήκαμε και με το παραπάνω.

Και επειδή κανείς δε νομίζω να έχει δει τις παραπάνω ταινίες (εκτός από έναν τρελό που καθόταν μπροστά μπροστά στο Ολύμπιον και πανηγύριζε - μάλλον θα τα είχε παίξει στο στοίχημα) ας απολαύσουμε ξανά και ξανά το τρίτο πιο ξεκαρδιστικό highlight της τελετής.

Αν κρίνω από την πανικόβλητη φάτσα του Μάρτιν, μάλλον δεν θα είχε παρακολουθήσει τα φετινά SAG.

Michel Hazanavicius - THE ARTIST

Το περιμέναμε; Ναι. Στεναχωρηθήκαμε; Προσωπικά όχι. Από τη στιγμή που Ramsay, Fincher, Almodobar και Wright δεν ήταν υποψήφιοι, ποιος χέστηκε; Εντωμεταξύ το βραβείο παρουσίασε ο Michael Douglas και ο @dimitrisdx απαιτεί να "ανοίξει επιτέλους το επαγγελμα παρουσιαστή σκηνοθεσίας. Οχι άλλο Michael Douglas". Tο metobear οργανώνει ένα ακόμα petition.

Καλύτερη Α' Αντρική Ερμηνεία

Jean Dujardin - The Artist

Πάμε ρε Dujardinάκο!!! Καλύτερο σχόλιο από του @hell_boy δε θα μπορούσα να κάνω "Θοδωρή Αθερίδη κοίτα τον Dujardin να παίρνει απόψε το όσκαρ και αναρωτήσου τι έκανες λάθος." (fyi o Dujardin είχε στο γαλλικό "Σ'αγαπώ, Μ'αγαπάς" τον ρόλο που κρατούσε στο ελληνικό ο Αθερίδης)

Καλύτερη Α' Γυναικεία Ερμηνεία

Meryl Streep - The Iron Lady

Πάμε ρε Meryl!! Ας αγκαλιάσουμε όλοι μαζί αυτή την τόσο δίκαιη βράβευση. Αν και η αλήθεια είναι πως φέτος είχε πολύ καλές γυναικείες ερμηνείες, και η Michelle ή η Viola πχ να το έπαιρνε δε θα με χάλαγε κιόλας. Thumbs up btw στην Meryl που έβγαλε τον ίσως καλύτερο λόγο της βραδιάς και τον σίγουρα καλύτερο της καριέρας της.

Καλύτερη Ταινία

THE ARTIST

"The Artist 5 - Hugo 5". Με ισοπαλία έληξε λοιπόν το ματς. Απροσδόκητα ευχάριστη τελετή. Μπορεί ο Crystal να ήταν λίγο "meh" αλλά οι Rash, Stone, Byrne και MacCarthy έδωσαν στην τελετή το χιούμορ που της άρμοζε. Άμα σε αυτό προσθέσεις και τις καλές βραβεύσεις που ισορρόπησαν ανάμεσα στο προβλέψιμο και το ευχάριστα απρόβλεπτο, τότε έχουμε να κάνουμε με μια από τις καλύτερες τελετές απονομής των τελευταίων χρόνων και ας είχε τόσο παλιομοδίτικη αισθητική και αναφορές στον Justin Bieber και το Twilight.

Άντε και του χρόνου λοιπόν!

BONUS

Ναι, συμφωνώ ότι το score του Cliff Martinez για το "Drive" ήταν εξαιρετικό. Σκοτεινό και ατμοσφαιρικό, αυτό το ambient δημιούργημα ήταν το ιδανικότερο soundtrack της ταινίας. Ή μήπως όχι? Οι Symmetry είναι το project των Glass Candy, Mirage, Chromatics και Desire και το album τους, "Themes For An Imaginary Film" τους πήρε τρία χρόνια για να ολοκληρωθεί και κυκλοφόρησε λίγο μετά το "Drive". Καθόλου τυχαίο, αν σκεφτείς ότι τόσο ο Refn όσο και ο Gosling είχαν πλησιάσει τον Johnny Jewel (τον άνθρωπο πίσω από τα 4 παραπάνω συγκροτήματα) και του είχαν αναθέσει τη σύνθεση του original score της ταινίας. Ενώ το score ήταν σχεδόν έτοιμο, για άγνωστο λόγο, ανατέθηκε στο Martinez, αφήνοντας τον Jewel με 37 (!) synth pop διαμάντια, τα οποία βρήκαν θέση στο "Themes For An Imaginary Film". Στον αντίποδα του Martinez, ο οποίος δεν αφήνει το έργο του να καταστρέψει τη σιωπηλή ατμόσφαιρα της ταινίας, ο Jewel έφτιαξε ένα δυνατό score, το οποίο μπορεί να σταθεί άνετα σαν μεμονωμένος δίσκος, όπως και έγινε. Το "Themes" είναι ταξιδιάρικο, βρώμικο, φωτισμένο με neon και προκλητικά sexy και, σίγουρα, σε βάζει να αναρωτηθείς πώς θα ήταν η ταινία αν είχε χρησιμοποιηθεί αυτό. Για μένα, καλύτερο από του Martinez αλλά ακούστε το ολόκληρο εδώ, για να βγάλετε πόρισμα:
